Use the Sunlight system with the Vray for an interior scene

We will use SunLight to simulate the external light, in which case the sun is the main source of light  and we will also use the light of the Vray..
To give extra light and shadows to the scene because the SunLight and surrounding environment lighting environment will not give shadows to small objects in the scene.

Action Steps :

Step 1- Go to the construction panel and click System and choose the Sunlight system to simulate the sunlight Put this system outside the building as in the picture.

Step 2- Adjust the settings as follows: Make the shadow  type VRayShadow and Multiplier to 3.0 and color to white.

Step 3- Set the settings of the Vray as follows: V-Ray: Image sampler (Antialiasing) Select the Fixed type for the Image Sampler option and run the option Antialiasing Filter then choose Catmull-Rom for it.

Tips on how to choose Image Sampler:
1* Use the Fixed type when the scene requires blurring effects such as the Depth-of-Field effect.
2* Use Adaptive subdivision when the scene does not require any effect of blurry such as Global Illumination, Reflection Reflections and refraction.

Step 4- Under V-Ray: Indirect Illumination (GI) Turn on (On) to enable GI (indirect lighting) from work.

- Set Primary bounces to 1.0 and Secondary bounces at 0.5 We used this little value to avoid excessive brightness in the scene and we will also use ambient lighting. If the scene is too dark, you can increase the intensity of Secondary bounces.

Go to the V-Ray section: Irradiance Map. When built-in presets, choose Low to reduce the time of the render.

From Options, run Show calc. Phase to be able to see calculations and games during the process of the process and therefore you can see any problem occur and resolve before the completion of the final .In the Mode box, set it to Single frame.

Step 5- We come to the V-Ray: Environment section. We run GI Environment (skylight) override and adjust the color as follows: R = 173, G = 208, B = 255
Give the value 4.0 to the intensity.
These settings will change the values of the environment that is already in the default, or if we do not run it here in the rollover lists,

Here are the different randers;

Step 6: You also notice that the scene is dark in addition to some fractures in the edges located in the area of sunlight so we will change some settings to solve the problem
First we go to the V-Ray section: Color mapping and change the value of Dark Multiplier to 2.0 to give dark areas more light .

Second, we go to the V-Ray section: Image sampler (Antialiasing) and change the Image sampler to Adaptive subdivision and from the field
V-Ray: Adaptive subdivision image sampler Adjust the Min value. Rat the "-1" and the Max value. Rat on "2"

Third, we go to the construction panel to create VRay Light to represent the interior light from the outside and to give the small objects a beautiful shadow Adjust its settings as shown in the picture.

Fourth: We choose the Sunlight system and go to the VRay Shadows params settings and we point to the Smooth Surface Shadows option.

Fifth: Change the settings of the render as in the picture and note that the increase of the value of secondary bounces make the ranger more bright.
